With Rock-Art2noise, we once again call on this prehistoric pictorial gesture. Convening the Rock Art does not mean to reproduce its rupestral theatricality, even evoked the Rock Art questions us again facing the surfaces, facing our deepest memory, facing our epoch. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Rock-art TO noise propose de r\u00e9v\u00e9ler le ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne sonore du rock art, de prolonger les traits, les signes, les dynamiques, le geste pictural de l\u2019artiste peintre, d\u2019organiser les taches sonores vers un espace musical en contrepoint de la surface picturale. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/25898818\">Rock-Art2noise\/ Extract May 19 2011<\/a><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/25898818?h=c73e5f414f\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Rock-art to noise suggests revealing the sound phenomenon of the rock art, to extend the lines, the signs, the dynamics, the pictorial strokes of the painter, to organize the sound towards a musical space as a counterpoint of the pictorial surface.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Enregistr\u00e9es en mai 2011, lors de s\u00e9quences de recherche, les vid\u00e9os ci-dessus illustrent la premi\u00e8re partie de Rock-art2noise. Ce temps d&rsquo;expression pictural et musical prend sa source sonore par captation des gestes articul\u00e9s de Sitan sur les surfaces peintes. Les dynamiques sont donc heurt\u00e9es, \u00e9voluant en une s\u00e9rie de fluctuations discontinues, incisives, frott\u00e9es, racl\u00e9es, r\u00e9p\u00e9titives combinant tour \u00e0 tour les chutes aux mouvements ascensionnels, les gestes affirm\u00e9s et ceux en retrait (liste non exhaustive). Dans ce temps, je traduis le signal source soliste en de multiples voix, en \u00e9largissant le plus possible l&rsquo;ambitus. Ce soliloque musical ne g\u00e9n\u00e8re pas une synth\u00e8se de la phase pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente,&nbsp;mais une sorte de r\u00e9manence. Dans mon syst\u00e8me de traitement audio-num\u00e9rique, j\u2019ai ins\u00e9r\u00e9 la possibilit\u00e9 de r\u00e9aliser une boucle cumulative de 20 secondes depuis le d\u00e9but du concert. Lorsque Sitan n\u2019agit plus, j\u2019augmente l\u2019amplitude du syst\u00e8me de diffusion (en 5 points pour ce concert) et j\u2019utilise cette \u00ab&nbsp;m\u00e9moire&nbsp;\u00bb sonore du temps du peintre projet\u00e9e dans l\u2019espace. La vitre capture ce \u00ab&nbsp;continuum&nbsp;\u00bb que j\u2019alt\u00e8re et articule avec mes diff\u00e9rents traitements num\u00e9riques en temps r\u00e9el.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><strong><em>Le public partage \u00e0 cet instant le silence d\u2019une \u00ab&nbsp;toile&nbsp;\u00bb peinte et se retrouve immerg\u00e9 dans la persistance sonore du geste pictural dont il fut t\u00e9moin.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #888888;\">A cet endroit du concert, j\u2019ai tendance \u00e0 \u00e9tirer les mouvements, \u00e0 conforter une dynamique temporelle tendue, r\u00e9p\u00e9titive dans ses d\u00e9tails dans un flux sonore dense et intense en \u00e9nergie.
